ESOL skills at Polish Millennium House

Polish Millennium House in Digbeth, Birmingham has become another community venue used by Walsall College to deliver ESOL classes.
The atmosphere, facilities and convenient location right in the most creative part of Birmingham all make it an ideal location for people to improve their English skills.
Emilia, one of the ESOL course participants, describes her experience of the course:
“I found about the course from a friend. I joined the course to improve my English so I can improve my career opportunities. I enjoy attending the classes because they start in the morning, which allows me to work in the afternoon.”
Career progression, however, is not the only motivation of our course attendees. Some simply want to be part of regular, everyday interactions. As Danuta says:
“My main goal is to learn how to speak well. Recently, I started talking with my neighbour, who is English. The classes gave me confidence to do so.”
Zaneta Blaszczyk, one of the managers at the Polish Millenium House adds: “I consider the cooperation with Walsall College as very beneficial. The ESOL course attracted a lot of interest. Our students are very keen and are acquiring new English-speaking skills with ease!”
ESOL classes at the Polish Millennium House take place every Thursday and every Saturday between 10:30am and 12:30pm.
