We work closely with lots of schools across the West Midlands and provide their students with advice on the many routes available to them when they leave school.

We invite local schools to make use of our professional careers service, from attending subject specific tasters through to one to one sessions with your students, our independent career advisers are on hand to help.
Sometimes the best way for students to understand what college is all about is to see it first-hand, we can tailor a college tour based on your students’ interests. Tours can be tailored to students interests from a visit to our Wisemore Campus, a dedicated tour of our construction and engineering campuses through to a full three site visit across a whole morning.
These ‘Try before you apply’ sessions provide students with an opportunity to try their hand at a number of vocational courses throughout the day. 2020 will see two Try before you apply sessions take place on the following dates: Tuesday 7 July & Wednesday 8 July.
These session offer an action packed college visit allowing students to step out of their comfort zones rotating around workshops designed to break stereotypes. Visit to college to tricky? let us bring students and staff to your school with stereotype busting talks.
If your students are interested in Hospitality, Travel, Sport, Performing Arts, Dance, Art and Design, Media or Public Services then we have some fun and interactive workshops ready to give them an insight into these popular vocational courses.

We employ tutors who have industry experience and they are keen to share their knowledge. These talks provide an insight into the industry and give students advice into routes they can take to enter into their dream career.
An Apprenticeship is a brilliant first step on the career path in many industries and with the popularity of this route rising, we are happy to explain how students can get on board. From a 15 minute slot in assembly to a 1 hour workshop, we can tailor our sessions to suit your needs.

September 2020 will see the launch of a brand new vocational qualification – T Levels - and Walsall College will be launching three next year! This 1 hour session can be delivered to teachers to bring them up to speed on these new qualifications.
