Industrial action affecting bus services

The college will be open as normal with all timetabled classes taking place.

We have been informed that in the event of strike action from National Express bus drivers in the West Midlands, the following services will continue to be in operation:

51 – Birmingham – Walsall (via Great Barr & Perry Barr)
529 – Wolverhampton – Walsall (via Willenhall)

Further information and updates are available through National Express.

Services operated by Diamond Buses, Arriva and Stagecoach and West Midlands Metro are unaffected by industrial action and are operating as normal.

Students and staff are advised to plan their routes in advance and check travel operators’ website(s) and social media on the day itself for the most up to date information.

Any student in receipt of a bursary for a National Express bus pass and has to pay for a ticket with an alternative bus provider due to the West Midlands Travel strikes, will get their ticket cost reimbursed.

Students will need to present their ticket at the Wisemore Campus CASC desk and complete a travel payment form in order to receive this reimbursement.

The reimbursement will be via bank transfer.
