Fashion students celebrate catwalk success

Fashion students at Walsall College staged their dazzling annual Catwalk Show and showcased their creative designs to members of the public on Friday 22nd June.
The Wisemore Campus atrium was transformed with an elevated catwalk and came alive for the show, which was an artistic collaboration between Fashion, Hair and Beauty, Performing Arts, Dance and Music students.
During the show, a range of stunning collections that Fashion students have worked hard on throughout the year was unveiled with themes including Victorian and vintage chic, Tim Burton and Fantastic Beasts.
The catwalk models had their hair, make-up and body art styled by Hair and Beauty students, while the evening was hosted by Performing Arts students, included live performances by Music and Dance students and filmed by Media students.
Christine Taylor, Curriculum Manager for Fashion at Walsall College, commented: “The Catwalk Show featured designs created by Fashion students, from level 3 through to degree level 6, and showcased their skills and artistry.
“The show was a vibrant and exciting finale to what has been a very successful year. It is also an ideal opportunity for students from across the college to exhibit their creative talents and work together to ensure it was an unforgettable evening.”
