Students showcase artwork at college exhibition

Walsall College’s Supported Learning students on the Creative Arts programme showcased their work in an exhibition at the College’s Wisemore Campus.
The exhibition, which ran between 26 – 29th June, was an opportunity for our students to display their work and share their creativity with others.
Artwork impressively ranged from visual studies, textiles and 3D to print making and digital photography. Some of the work was inspired by a trip students had taken to the studio of local jewellery designer, Jolene Smith.
In addition, there was an exhibition at the atrium that featured a giant rock decorated in the form of an African mask, as well as giant paper-mache models of a dragon and a Penelope from Wreck-It-Ralph.
Supported Learning Lecturer, Jennie Jones said, “The standard of work here was extremely high and is evidence of the innovative and creative work our Supported Learning students produce. We are very proud of the diverse work generated by our students.”
Walsall College offers a range of courses in Art and Design.
