Be inspired and informed at Walsall College’s National Apprenticeship Week events
A live careers fair, an online webinar and daily live chats are the events heading up Walsall College’s celebrations for National Apprenticeship Week 2022 (7-11 February).
A Careers Fair for local jobseekers is taking place on Tuesday 8 February between 10.00am and 2.00pm at The Hub at the college, on Littleton Street West. Aimed at jobseekers of all ages, over 100 local vacancies will be promoted by exhibitors.
The college is also hosting a How to secure your dream Apprenticeship webinar on Wednesday 9 February, 4.00pm-5.00pm. This is an opportunity for school leavers and those considering this career route for the first time to explore how Apprenticeships work as well as how to search and apply for vacancies.
“Our aim is to inspire and inform everyone about how Apprenticeships can support their training needs and career ambitions,” said Rachael Smith, Director of Apprenticeships and Work-based Learning at the college.
“Build the Future is the national theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2022. So, whether you’re someone just starting out in employment, are changing direction or need an alternative way to achieve your big break, sign up for our events to create the career pathway and achieve the goals you’ve always wanted to.”
Aspiring apprentices and apprentice employers in the making can also put specific questions to the college’s Apprenticeship team during Live Chats. From Monday 7- Friday 11 February, 12.00pm-2.00pm, advisors will be on standby to respond to online enquiries about vacancies, funding sources, specific qualifications and all other things apprenticeship-related.
