Year 11 students, parents, teachers and employers are invited to join Walsall College and industry partner Balfour Beatty Vinci, to discover more about the new T Level in Construction: Design Surveying and Planning.
T Levels are brand new qualifications set to transform the way young adults train for the world of work after their GCSEs.
As one of the first colleges in the UK to be delivering T Levels from September 2020, Walsall College is delighted to be partnering with global construction giant Balfour Beatty Vinci to deliver the T Level in Construction, Design, Surveying and planning.
What to Expect
This is an opportunity for Year 11 students, parents, teachers and employers to discover more about the unique format of the T Level qualification, the work placement and its direct links to industry, and how it will be recognised by universities and employers.
Join us for refreshments including a hot buffet, an introduction to the course from Walsall College tutors, and representatives from Balfour Beatty Vinci who will talk about the work placement.
More about T Levels:
- They are a two-year qualification equivalent to three A Levels
- They consist of 80% time in the classroom and 20% on an industry placement of 315 hours, equivalent to 45 days
- They encourage students to collaborate with the UK’s best employers and businesses
- They enable progression on to a degree, an apprenticeship or into work.
