Information events and inspiring stories form National Apprenticeship Week celebrations

Walsall College is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2023 (6-12 February) by showcasing how apprenticeship skills are for life.
Rachael Smith, Director of Apprenticeships and Work-based Learning at the college said: “It’s very much the case that the knowledge and experience you gain as an apprentice will carry you throughout your career. They also help future proof businesses by developing a talented workforce. This is something our expert staff will be demonstrating throughout National Apprenticeship Week 2023 along with our employer partners, current and former apprentices.”
Online events about Apprenticeships are taking place as follows:
- Discover Apprenticeships – Monday 6th February, 8.30am-9.15am : a webinar for school leavers, parents, careers and jobs advisors exploring Apprenticeships for the first time and/or who wish to know about training opportunities available and what they can lead to.
- Apprenticeships : A guide for employers – Thursday 9th February, 1.30pm-2.15pm : a webinar for prospective and returning apprentice employers that will share best practice industry insights, business benefits and more.
- Daily Live Chats, Monday 6th-Friday 10th February, 12.00pm-2.00pm : Aspiring apprentices and apprentice employers in the making can also put specific questions to the college’s Apprenticeship recruitment team
Rachael Smith added: “So if you’re interested in finding out about upcoming vacancies, funding sources, our huge range of qualifications or anything else apprenticeship-related, join us next week to explore what lifelong skills can do for you or your business.”
The college is also hosting an Apprenticeship Jobs Fair for all its current students as well as an Apprentice Voice Conference for work-based learners training with them.
