Skills for Life is the theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2024 and Walsall College will celebrate this throughout 6-12 February with online and onsite activities aimed at prospective apprentices and T Level students, jobseekers and employers.  The achievements of college-trained apprentices and employer partners will also be showcased around the college and on their social media platforms.

Activities are taking place as follows:

Daily Live Chats, Monday 6th-Friday 10th February, 12.00pm-2.00pm:

Aspiring apprentices and apprentice employers in the making can put their quickfire questions to the Apprenticeship recruitment team

Tuesday 6th February, 10.00am-12.00pm

An Apprenticeship drop-in session is taking place at The Link, 46 Park Street, Walsall, WS1 1NG

Apprenticeship and T Level Open Day, Thursday 8th February, 4.00pm-7.00pm:

An opportunity for upcoming school leavers and jobseekers to explore current and emerging vacancies available through the college and with onsite employers from sectors including business and accounting, health and construction.

Rachael Smith, Director of Apprenticeships and Work-based Learning at the college said: “It’s very much the case that the knowledge and experience you gain as an apprentice will carry you throughout your career.  They also help futureproof businesses by developing a talented workforce.

“So, if you’re interested in finding out about upcoming vacancies, funding sources, our huge range of qualifications including Apprenticeship Standards, T Levels and degree apprenticeships as well as anything else apprenticeship-related, join us next week to explore what lifelong skills can do for you or your business.”

The college is also hosting an Apprenticeship Jobs Fair for all its current students as well as an Apprentice Voice Conference for work-based learners training with them.
