The high-profile catwalk show is a biannual highlight for celebrities and industry experts, including fashion bloggers, buyers, editors and influencers.
This year’s event ran from Friday 14th September to Tuesday 18th September, where high-end fashion designers presented collections that were inspired by next year’s spring and summer looks.
Yasmine Byefield and her colleagues at Sassy’s Hair Salon were headhunted to be the official backstage hair team for the show on Sunday 16th September.
Hosted by the Fashion Collective Hub, Sunday’s event took place at the luxurious Sunborn London Yacht Hotel.
The team of eight had 20 models to style, as well as a number of show co-ordinators and presenters.
London Fashion Week is the second highlight of Yasmine’s apprenticeship journey this year, as she was also a finalist in the L’Oreal Colour Trophy competition.
Yasmine said, “The event was very exciting, as it was such a huge opportunity for all of us. To be part of the show was a privilege, especially as I’m still studying my NVQ Level 3.
I feel the event gave me a huge confidence boost. We all worked together as a team and truly enjoyed the whole process. All of us are looking forwards to taking part in more events on the same scale.”
