Matthew Brown DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & MIS
Matthew joined Walsall College in 2017 as an independent financial consultant, supporting work on the further education colleges’ area review outcomes. He became an interim director of finance before taking on his current role.
His career first began after he read civil engineering at the University of Nottingham. On joining Capital One Bank, he qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant.
He later went on to join CITB as the Head of Finance and Business Planning for The National Construction College, following this with a role as vice principal for finance, resources and strategy at Huntingdonshire Regional College
Matthew lives in Norfolk with his wife and three children and is a parent governor at an academy school in the area.
