Our 2 to 6 weeks programmes are delivered in partnership with a range of employers looking to develop their workforces. Not only does this pre-employment training provide you with new skills for specific sectors, but you can also complete a work placement, receive CV support and a guaranteed interview.
Programmes consist of three main components:
• Pre-employment training matched to the employer’s business needs
• Work experience placement to learn new skills on the job and gain valuable qualifications for the future
• At the end of the programme, learners are guaranteed either a job interview with an employer or help with the application process.
Entry requirements:
Jobseekers aged 19+ claiming either Universal Credit, Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). Additional entry requirements may apply, subject to employers' requirements.

With this programme, you can improve your industry work skills and know-how and achieve your Green CSCS card free of charge. Additional, you will receive a guaranteed interview for the roles of:
• General Labourers or Groundworker
The purpose of the course is to prepare you for working in the construction industry by giving you a basic overview of the industry. During this training programme, you will also gain basic construction qualifications along with a Green CSCS Card. All participants who complete the course will have a chance to take part in a guaranteed job interview with ValYou Recruitment.

This three-week training programme will help you develop a basic knowledge of working in non-teaching roles mainly in a primary school setting. We will support you in recognising your strengths and transferable skills to support the application process. All participants completing this programme will receive a guaranteed interview with Smile Education.

• Able to demonstrate the ability to work at a minimum Entry Level 3 maths and English subject to enhanced DBS (criminal conviction check)

This three-week programme will help you develop a basic knowledge of working in the NHS and care Sector and support your application for employment and apprenticeship opportunities.
You will be encouraged to explore the Clinical Support worker roles within the NHS whilst developing the skills to help support you through the application process.

- L1 Equality & Diversity
Designed in partnership with whg and the NHS, this course will allow you to:
• Experience what working for the NHS is like from the inside
• Improve your understanding of NHS support roles and the teams you can work with
• Get help with the application process; including the best way to showcase your strengths and key skills in your application and at the interview
• Take part in a guaranteed interview for the roles at Walsall NHS

The Induction to Retail Programme will help you to:

GUARANTEED INTERVIEW (You must complete the 4-week training programme)
This 4-week free programme will support applicants for warehouse and distribution roles
with Tes Amm. TES support many global IT service providers, leading OEMs and
international businesses as a competent and reliable IT lifecycle service provider.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will specialise in working with consumer electronics.
You will be responsible for various production tasks and fast-paced targets. The role is
varied and challenging as there are many duties required. Planning is critical and being
calm and collected in a pressured environment is essential.

This programme allows you to study the world of business, giving you the opportunity to develop knowledge and technical skills in a practical learning environment. You will examine the roles and responsibilities of setting up a new business and its financial management. You will also develop key skills, such as analysis and review of key financial statements.
This 20-day programme includes;
- Level 2 First Award in Business
- Maths & English upskilling.

This pre-recruitment 4 week training and support will provide local people with the basic trade and wider personal skills required to enter the construction industry.
All suitable applicants recruited on to the programme will have the opportunity to; complete Highways trade training relevant to local job opportunities.
- C.A.T and Genny and safe digging practices.
- Setting out signs, lighting and guarding including setting up traffic control and traffic lights.
- Methods of excavation and safe excavation practices including excavation support.
- Fine fill and backfill material classes, layer construction and compaction rates and methods.
- Surface reinstatement including, tarmac, concrete, flag and pavers. Surface tolerances, raising/lowering of ironwork, edge sealing and compaction.
- Maintenance operations include removing and replacing kerbs, pothole cut out and reinstatement and clearing and repairs to blocked drainage systems.

CISRS 1-day COTS course is for people who are new to scaffolding and want to work as a scaffolding labourer. In conjunction with the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test it will qualify delegates for a CISRS Scaffolder Trainee or CISRS Scaffolder Labour Card.

All participants successfully completing this programme will have the opportunity for a guaranteed interview for roles with local care employers.
