Services for Schools

Walsall College is dedicated to working with schools in the West Midlands to support them in providing advice to their students on the many routes available to them when they leave school.

Walsall College is pleased to be able to provide various services to schools both onsite at our state-of-the art campuses and by visiting schools direct.

Free Independent Careers Advice and Guidance

We invite local schools to make use of our professional careers service. We regularly hold informative events focused on popular careers.

Take a Tour

Sometimes the best way for students to understand what college is all about is to see it first-hand, we can tailor a college tour based on your students’ interests.

Try before you apply

These ‘Try before you apply’ sessions provide students with an opportunity to try their hand at a number of BTEC courses throughout the day.

What Stereotype?

Split by gender, students will step out of their comfort zone to rotate around workshops designed to prove that subject stereotypes do not reflect the industry or the classroom!

Subject Specific Tasters

If your students are interested in Hospitality, Travel or Public Services then we have some fun and interactive workshops ready to give them an insight into these popular BTEC courses.

Employer Talks

We are one of the West Midlands’ largest apprenticeship providers. Let us arrange an inspiring talk with one of the many employers we work with.

Industry Specific Talks

We employ tutors who have industry experience and they are keen to share their knowledge. These talks provide an insight into the industry and the route for your students’ dream career.

Apprenticeship Talks

An Apprenticeship is a brilliant first step on the career path in many industries and with the popularity of this route rising, we are happy to explain how students can get on board.

Our Higher Education offer

There is more than one way to get a degree! Let us introduce your students to a more cost-effective route to obtaining a degree with our HI:ED talk.
