Walsall College enjoys strong partnership with a varied range of market leading organisations. These strategic partnerships provide our students with opportunities to work side by side with industry experts in state-of-the-art environments and with market leading technology. Our students emerge from these experiences more commercially astute and aware of the very latest industry developments. The quality of these experiences has a high impact on the employability of our students.

Each partnership works two ways: we provide our partner organisations with high quality professional training and development, whilst they give back to their industries by nurturing and directing tomorrow’s leading industry professionals.

Accord Group

Walsall College support Accord in upskilling their workforce by delivering apprenticeships in Business Administration and Health & Social Care.

BBO Community Fund / European Social Fund

The BBO project has received £3,880,000 of funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England. The Department for Work and Pensions is the Managing Authority for the England European Social Fund programme. Established by the European Union, the European Social Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion and local community regenerations. Birmingham City Council

Walsall College deliver apprenticeships in cleaning and business administration with Birmingham City Council.

Birmingham City University

Walsall College is approved by Birmingham City University to deliver a franchise of Level 6 of its BA (Hons) Fashion Design, BA (Hons) Visual Communication (Graphic Communication) and BA (Hons) Visual Communication (Photography) courses. Birmingham City University also validates Walsall College Level 6 top-up courses in BA (Hons) Business Studies, BA (Hons) Business Studies and Accountancy and BSc (Hons) Computing.

Birmingham Hippodrome

Walsall College’s dance department work with the Birmingham Hippodrome to provide a range of portfolio-enhancing opportunities to students, including workshops, auditions and live performances.
Black Country Click Start
Black Country LEP Midlands Engine

The investment will allow the College to address the current skills deficiencies, succession planning and recruitment challenges faced by engineering employers. This investment will provide a solution to both the initial training requirements for school leavers as well as, unemployed and existing workforce including apprenticeships.
BBO Bridges

A free project to support local unemployed people aged over 25, who need that extra bit of help to move forward in life because of a health condition, a learning support need or autism.

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund (ESF).

Community Matters Programme

Community Matters is a programme run across the Black Country and helps people across Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell helping individuals to move into or closer to employment by developing their skills and confidence. Community Matters is managed by the Heart of England Community Foundation in partnership with local organisations across the Black Country.


Francesco Group

Francesco Group have worked with Walsall College to develop the college’s state-of-the-art Graduate Academy hairdressing salon. The salon mirrors Francesco Group's own High Street salons to ensure students develop the industry-level experience and skills to enter the hairdressing industry.


In partnership with Gecko Programmes, Walsall College offers its students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience abroad in Europe, with destinations ranging from Florence and Seville to Berlin, La Coruna and Lanciano.



The London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA)

Walsall College delivers - in partnership with LCCA - Pearson HNC and HND programmes in: Fashion and Textiles, Photography, Computer Game Animation, and Graphic Design.

Midcounties Co-operative

Midcounties Co-operative offer workshops, masterclasses and employer talks across a range of subjects related to their business, including Travel, Computing, Business and Marketing.

The New Art Gallery Walsall (TNAGW)

Walsall College works with The New Art Gallery Walsall to extend students’ understanding of the Creative Industries, offering them a wide range of opportunities to enhance their portfolio.

The NHS’ offer work opportunities to Walsall College’s Science and Health Care Students through its local trusts and hospitals, including the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals, the Good Hope Hospital and the Dudley Group of Hospitals to name a few.


Walsall College have a long standing relationship with Perkins Engines Co Ltd, working with the Engine manufacturing firm to offer apprenticeships and work placements to its engineering students.


As Industry experts in Microsoft technology, risual partner with Walsall College to deliver innovative Digital and IT Apprenticeships including the Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship Standard. This partnership combines outstanding classroom support with work based assessment from industry experts.

The University of Warwick

In partnership with the University, Walsall College offers the two-year Diploma in Education and Training course, which supports the academic development of students training to become fully qualified teachers.

University of Worcester

In partnership with the University of Worcester, Walsall College delivers the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship, which equips those who aspire to become Chartered Managers with the skills to become more effective in their current or future role.
Walsall Council

To recruit more apprentices for Walsall Council, the council are working with Walsall College to help train its students to become work-ready.

West Midlands Ambulance Service

West Midlands Fire Service

Walsall College work with West Midlands Fire Service to deliver its Heavy Vehicle apprenticeships.
