Andrew Macintosh

External Governor

Andrew is a Qualified Chartered Accountant with over 40 years’ experience, mostly in large corporate organisations including EY, TSB Bank, Boots The Chemist, Molson Coors, Aviva, E.On and most recently Tarmac.

He has had extensive experience in setting and managing budgets, reporting results to executive committees, managing large projects, infrastructure tenders and managing teams.

Projects varied from capital expenditure proposals, dashboard reporting development, office closures and relocation, people surveys, business restructuring and business acquisitions.

Alongside his accountancy experience, Andrew supported fellow employees by attaining a Certificate in Supporting Work Based Learning October 2015 with Derby University and Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement with the Chartered Management Institute.

Andrew was born and lives in Walsall and is an advocate for the Town and its friendly communities. His hobbies include gardening, golf, jogging and ballroom dancing.

Andrew was appointed as an external governor in July 2026, having previously served as a co-opted member of the Audit & Risk Committee and prior to that on the Finance Committee.
