Results Day 2026 sees T Level and VTQ students overjoyed

Progression to university courses and degree apprenticeships are among the big outcomes for Walsall College’s T Level and VTQ students on Results Day 2026.

Distinctions all-round for Design, Surveying and Planning T Level students

Double celebrations were in store for the college’s Construction T Level (Design, Surveying and Planning) students.  Everyone achieved a Distinction grade.  Of these, six have been offered degree apprenticeships with their industry placement providers, Balfour Beatty VINCI, with a further two students offered roles with Winvic Construction.

Talking about her T Level experience, she said: “I’ve made lots of friends and got to meet different professionals across the industry; all with specialist knowledge.

“They’ve helped me develop all kinds of skills, leading me to an apprenticeship that will now set me up for my future.”

Progressing in computer programming

Digital T Level student, Frederick, who is progressing to a computer science degree at the University of Staffordshire, also praised his course.

“I’ve always loved programming and wanted to further my skills in this field,” he said. “My course delivered on this and my tutors were always friendly, supportive and encouraging.”

VTQ student victories

Results Day 2026 saw VTQ Music student, Macie coming away with a triple Distinction grade in Music.

She said: “Every moment of my time at college has stood out.  From developing as an artist, performing at different events and having my eyes opened to the production and technical sides of the industry.

“Coming away with top grades is just the perfect way to top all this.”

Macie is now joining the BIMM Institute as an undergraduate in popular music performance and song-writing,

Also celebrating was Applied Science student, Christabel who is taking a gap year and then studying a degree in Diagnostic Radiography.

“I had the best teachers,” she said.

“They taught every course module well, giving me lots of advice on career and uni options so I had a clear idea of my next steps.  My D*DD grade proves how the college bought out the best in me.”
