Wondering what career you’d like? Want to explore your options? The Skills Show is back in Birmingham this month, packed with ideas, advice and opportunities to help young people decide which path to take into the world of work.

Walsall College will be at the free-to-attend event, which takes place at the NEC from 16th – 18th November 2017.

The exhibition will provide visitors with the opportunity to try out a huge range of interactive ‘Have-a-go’ activities, designed to help them develop new skills, talents and interests.

Young people will also have the chance to find out about further education and apprenticeships options, with careers advisers on hand to offer expert advice on routes available into work.

Walsall College and South Staffordshire College are working together on a stand in the College Zone in Hall 19. Visitors will be able to have a go on a Digital Graffiti Wall.

The high-tech Graffiti Wall is built to look and feel like a real wall, with participants using digital spray cans to create their own masterpieces using a range of techniques, such as stencils, drips and nozzles.

Throughout the show, professionals from a range of industries will give inspiring Spotlight talks to provide unique real-life insights into a variety of careers and training routes, while learners who are already working towards qualifications in subjects such as construction and beauty therapy will be delivering a wide range of showcases.

With coverage across the BBC, a wide variety of big name companies will be exhibiting at the event, including Amazon, BMW cars, Dyson, Freight Transport Association (FTA), HS2, Jaguar, Muller, Nestle, Toyota, Costa, Lloyds Banking Group, the British Army and the RAF.
