After realising the customer experience at different branches across the country was varied, Jhoots decided to take a proactive approach to find a solution.
HR Director for Jhoots Pharmacy, San Jhooty said: “Working with Walsall College has been an extremely positive experience which we would definitely recommend to other employers. The College has proven to be a key partner for our company, supporting us to up-skill our staff.
“Walsall College delivered NVQ Level 2 Customer Service training to 30 candidates in 2011, who achieved a 100% success rate within an outstanding six month timeframe. We have been so impressed with the training that a further 25 members of staff are now undertaking the qualification.
“The training helped staff to recognise their own abilities and has given them an opportunity to gain recognition for their achievements. It has added value to the company and has ensured that all our staff are delivering the same high standards of customer service nationwide.
“Walsall College has worked hard to meet our specific needs and provide us with high quality support. Along with NVQs in the workplace, we are now working with the College to develop a new bespoke pharmacy qualification and we are looking to appoint apprentices in each area of the organisation.”
