*This information is for those students in receipt of a college text message*
A confirmed case of Covid-19 has been identified within your Walsall College bubble.
You are advised not to attend college and that you stay at home and self-isolate for the next two weeks or until the college advises you to return. This is for your own safety and the safety of those around you.
The college is continuing to do all we can to stay Covid-secure. If you begin to display any symptoms, please seek medical advice in order to determine whether there is a need for you to be tested for the virus. If you have taken a test please inform Walsall College of the results via the usual absence reporting procedure. Please continue to self-isolate until you are told otherwise.
We are also ensuring that any learner who is unable to attend college can keep up with their studies online. Your tutors will be contacting you to advise you how this is being carried out.
You will shortly be receiving this letter for you and your family from the college, please read this letter for further guidance.
We will update you on this situation as soon as we are able to.
If you have any queries about the college and your studies, please contact your tutor.
Please stay safe.
We are following guidelines from PHE and the college is not required to shut down completely, but to manage this case through isolating students within the affected social bubble
We will inform you if there are any further cases of Covid-19 affecting your social bubble or your attendance at college.
If you are in receipt of free meals we will issue Tesco vouchers for the period of isolation
