This course is for adults who wish to return to study and prepare to join an Access to Higher Education in Computing programme. This qualification is also ideal for learners who may wish to benefit from alternative approaches to curriculum and learning, as the flexibility of assessment allows them to generate evidence in a range of ways. As part of the course, you will need to demonstrate that you are working towards a minimum of Level 1 in Maths and English and be ready to undertake these exams. You will also develop the personal qualities you will need in your future career.

You must be aged 19 and over. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you are working towards Level 1 literacy and numeracy skills through an online Initial Assessment. A rigorous interview and written comprehension exercise may be required to show the necessary skills, motivation and determination to succeed on this programme.
You will be assessed through a portfolio of work allowing the accumulation of evidence, relevant to your application of IT Skills over a period of time. Summative tasks are often used to help finalise portfolios.
