NCFE Level 2 Diploma In Aviation

Is aviation working on the ground a career you want to pursue?
The NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Aviation covers check in and airport working knowledge.

The qualification is designed to provide an all-round introduction to the aviation industry, helping people to prepare for employment in the aviation/travel and tourism sector at appropriate level.

By the end of the course, you’ll have accredited knowledge and skills to progress onto the Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Aviation Operations/Airport Studies that is available at Walsall College.

You must have one or any of the following:

  • Level 2 qualification in Travel and Tourism or related vocational area.
  • 3 GCSEs at grades C/GCSE grade 4 or above including English Language and/or Maths
  • Prior work experience or a keen desire to work within the aviation sector.

Successful completion of Level 2 can lead to:-

  • Level 3 Higher Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Aviation Operations/Airport Studies available at Walsall College.

Maths & English Requirement

English and Maths is a mandatory part of the 16-19 study programme.
If you have GCSEs in English and Maths at:

  • A* - C or 4-9 - You will continue to study English and Maths but do not have to take another exam.
  • D or 3 - You will need to resit your GCSE English and Maths at college.
  • E, F or G / 1 or 2 - You will study for Functional Skills until you get to Level 1. Then you will take GCSE English and Maths.
