Course overview

This qualification provides you with the opportunity to begin a career in counselling, while enhancing your existing skills and expertise in a range of professional support roles. Teaching takes place on two consecutive evenings each week, and as well as this, you must complete 100 hours of supervised counselling practice within a counselling agency setting.

You will be expected to secure your own counselling placement, but some help will be given.

At some time during the two years of your study, you will be expected to engage in personal therapy for a minimum of 20 hours.
