The qualification is aimed at registered managers, managers, assistant managers, deputy managers, senior care/support workers, supervisors, co-ordinators or team leaders in health and social care settings such as residential services for older people, people with disabilities, domiciliary care services, day services, respite services or community based services.
This is a competence based qualification and is designed to be assessed in the student’s workplace and they understand their normal work role. The evidence at times must reflect the policies and procedures of the workplace as informed by current legislation.

An interview. A minimum Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy through an Initial Assessment. A Skills Scan, in line with the qualification and current job role must be from a management position, will be completed by a Vocational Assessor to ensure competencies within the Sector can be evidenced.
