Level 3 Nail Technology

Want to kick-start a career as a nail therapist or a nail technician? 

This creative Nail technology course help you develop the skills you need to become a Nail Technician. 

During the course, you will complete the following aspects of Nail Technology: Gel systems, Wrap systems, Acrylic systems, Airbrushing, Nail art, 3D, sculptured nails photographic nails in the style of Stiletto, Almond and Marilyn shapes.

This course is designed for anyone wishing to work as a therapist or nail technician, and is ideal for those progressing from level 2 Nail Technology or Level 2 Beauty Therapy. Upon completion of the course, learners will have enough training to begin work self employed or in a high street nail and beauty salon, but could enhance their training further by moving onto Level 4 Diploma in hair and Beauty Management.

3 GCSEs at grades C/GCSE grade 4 or above including English Language, Maths and Science. A Level 2 related nail qualification is required.

Maths & English Requirement

English and Maths is a mandatory part of the 16-19 study programme.
If you have GCSEs in English and Maths at:

  • A* - C or 4-9 - You will continue to study English and Maths but do not have to take another exam.
  • D or 3 - You will need to resit your GCSE English and Maths at college.
  • E, F or G / 1 or 2 - You will study for Functional Skills until you get to Level 1. Then you will take GCSE English and Maths.
