Digital Age Innovations is ideal for students wanting to work towards the following careers:

Or alternatively it provides a good platform for progression to further study.

Digital Age Innovations consists of a range of mandatory and optional units including Web Server/Client Side Scripting, Software Development, Database Design, Games Design and Prototyping and Systems Analysis and Design.

5 GCSEs at grades C/GCSE grade 4 or above including English Language and/or Maths (some courses may require both, please check with course tutor at interview). Or a Level 2 related qualification in a relevant subject area plus Maths and/or English at Level 2.

This course allows students to gain the necessary foundation for them to progress into a more specialised level of Computing at Higher Education, or gives students a strong footing towards employment in the Computing industry.

Maths & English Requirement

English and Maths is a mandatory part of the 16-19 study programme.
If you have GCSEs in English and Maths at:

  • A* - C or 4-9 - You will continue to study English and Maths but do not have to take another exam.
  • D or 3 - You will need to resit your GCSE English and Maths at college.
  • E, F or G / 1 or 2 - You will study for Functional Skills until you get to Level 1. Then you will take GCSE English and Maths.
