Level 2 NVQ Professional Cooking

Looking to gain the skills and qualifications to become a professional chef?

Our professional cookery course is the ideal training ground to become a chef. Set to industry standards, the course will help you develop skills fit for a five star restaurant.

Classes will take place in our commercial kitchen at our Hawbush Campus, where you’ll be shown how to prepare meals, from roasting and frying to commodities.

The course gives students the opportunity to develop and practise the skills required for employment and career progression in the catering and hospitality sector.

You will need GCSEs at grade D or better - including English and Maths - or you have experience working in a commercial kitchen or successfully completed a Level 1 qualification
You could move on to the City & Guilds Diploma in Professional Cookery at Level 3,  or you could also use your skills to join the hospitality and catering industry.
