Intermediate Apprenticeship in Construction Building (Painting & Decorating)

This Apprenticeship is ideal for aspiring painters and decorators looking to develop their knowledge and skills in the workplace.

The following units are mandatory:

QCF641 - Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
QCF642 - Communicate with others to establish productive work practices.
QCF643 - Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace
QCF250C - Erect & Dismantle Access Platforms in the Workplace
QCF332 - Preparing Surfaces for Painting /Decorating in the Workplace
QCF333 - Applying Paint Systems by Brush & Roller in the Workplace

Optional units - You will need to select 1 from the following:
QCF336 - Hanging Wide Width Vinyls in the Workplace
QCF336 - Hanging Standard Wallpaper in the Workplace + a range of units designed to fit individual learners current work activities

The selection process will include an Initial Assessment and an interview, during which your suitability, commitment and interest for the programme will be determined. You will also need the following: GCSE A-E /initial assessment entry 3 and above /working in industry/ interview & skill scan.
Your employer will need to demonstrate that they have the necessary Health and Safety arrangements in place to satisfy legislative requirements, and that they are able to provide you with the full range of work to successfully complete the Apprenticeship framework.
