Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration

An apprenticeship is a great way of developing the skills and gaining the experience you need to progress in your chosen career. This apprenticeship is ideal for those currently working as or wishing to work as an Administrator, Business Support Office, Office Junior or Receptionist or similar. 

Over the course of the programme Apprentices will work towards the completion of a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Business & Administration and a Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business & Administration. 

Typical tasks a Business & Administration Apprentice can expect to undertake include:

  • Making and receiving telephone calls
  • Helping with the organisation of meetings and events
  • Dealing with travel requests
  • Handling mail
  • Record keeping
  • Using electronic message systems and office equipment
  • Taking notes
  • Welcoming visitors

The selection process will include a basic Initial Assessment and an interview during which suitability, commitment and interest for the programme will be determined. To be accepted onto the programme you will need to achieve Literacy, Numeracy and ICT at a minimum of Level 1.

Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration or other level 3 advanced apprenticeships such as customer service or management including business.
Qualifications in administration and finance, information technology, public services and retail business.
