Fashion BA (Hons) (TOP-UP)

A top-up degree course aimed primarily at successful HND/FdA (or equivalent) graduates looking to convert their existing qualification at Level 5 into a full BA honours qualification for progression into employment or MA studies.

You will be encouraged to be entrepreneurial and use your time on the course to test different options for your future career. The Fashion and Textiles pathway allows those who have achieved at level 5, to continue to develop as designers in a much personalised manner, whether you specialise in ‘haute couture’, designer ready-to-wear or high street fashion.

Walsall College is proud of its many links with industry. Each specialist pathway has strong vocational connections with significant industrial partners - through these connections, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of live projects.

Maths & English Requirement

English and Maths is a mandatory part of the 16-19 study programme.
If you have GCSEs in English and Maths at:

  • A* - C or 4-9 - You will continue to study English and Maths but do not have to take another exam.
  • D or 3 - You will need to resit your GCSE English and Maths at college.
  • E, F or G / 1 or 2 - You will study for Functional Skills until you get to Level 1. Then you will take GCSE English and Maths.
