Computing BSc (Hons) (TOP-UP)

This exciting one-year top-up degree is primarily aimed at successful HND in Computing and Systems Development graduates. It will allow you to convert your existing qualification at Level 5 into a full BSc Honours qualification at Level 6. The programme provides students with the opportunity to develop not only their Computing technical skills but also their business awareness to be prepared for the planning, designing and implementing of effective Computing systems that meet the changes of the modern business environment.

Successful completion of Higher National Diploma in Computing and Systems Development with an overall merit grade - GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above or equivalent qualification - Applications only accepted through UCAS.

Successful graduates can progress onto Masters level qualifications or directly into graduate employment opportunities.

Maths & English Requirement

English and Maths is a mandatory part of the 16-19 study programme.
If you have GCSEs in English and Maths at:

  • A* - C or 4-9 - You will continue to study English and Maths but do not have to take another exam.
  • D or 3 - You will need to resit your GCSE English and Maths at college.
  • E, F or G / 1 or 2 - You will study for Functional Skills until you get to Level 1. Then you will take GCSE English and Maths.
