The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music (Technology) has been specifically created to help you develop the skills you need to start your journey into the music industry. Through the course, you will learn a wide range of skills, such as using specialist digital recording technology, mastering your own composition, and supporting live events.
You will get a flavour of what it's like to work in the industry, by taking part in live performances as technical support for sound and lighting. There will also be opportunities to use the recording studio, producing music and creating sound effects for videos.
Industry experts and musicians will visit to hold workshops for you, and if you like travelling, you will love the trips to local and European music and cultural venues.

4 GCSEs at grades C/GCSE grade 4 or above including English Language. Or a Level 2 related qualification. All applicants will need to attend an interview, during which you should be able to present and discuss any examples of recording/music sequencing that you have completed, or any experience of using music technology in a range of performance environments.
