BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music (Technology)

Looking to make a career out of music?

We can help you turn your hobby into a career you’ll love. Despite fears of digital disruption, the music industry is growing. Overall revenues are increasing by 9.6% in 2017 (according to the Entertainment Retailers Association), with streaming revenues from subscriptions to services like Spotify up 41.9%

The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music (Technology) has been specifically created to help you develop the skills you need to start your journey into the music industry. Through the course, you will learn a wide range of skills, such as using specialist digital recording technology, mastering your own composition, and supporting live events.

You will get a flavour of what it's like to work in the industry, by taking part in live performances as technical support for sound and lighting. There will also be opportunities to use the recording studio, producing music and creating sound effects for videos.

Industry experts and musicians will visit to hold workshops for you, and if you like travelling, you will love the trips to local and European music and cultural venues.
