Bricklaying Level 3

This course is suitable for students progressing from Level 2 in Brickwork and are prepared to embrace the Walsall College Graduate principles, and those with prior experience and attainment. It is suitable for people wishing to gain the necessary skills to work in the construction industry.

This craft level qualification will provide you with all the required skills to operate at Level 3 Diploma standards within the construction industry. The course has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions that cover a wide range of skills used throughout the industry including;

  • Curved and ramped brickwork
  • Chimneys
  • Patterned brickwork
  • Fireplaces
  • Renovation project

Maths & English Requirement

English and Maths is a mandatory part of the 16-19 study programme.
If you have GCSEs in English and Maths at:

  • A* - C or 4-9 - You will continue to study English and Maths but do not have to take another exam.
  • D or 3 - You will need to resit your GCSE English and Maths at college.
  • E, F or G / 1 or 2 - You will study for Functional Skills until you get to Level 1. Then you will take GCSE English and Maths.
