Achieving Together

Achieving Together is designed for young people aged 14-19 who have not had the best experience at school. You'll learn key employability skills, English, maths and IT skills, and how to become an active citizen in the community.

If you received low or are predicted low GCSE grades, this course will support you in deciding and achieving your career goals.

There is no formal entry criteria. There will be an Interview, Initial Assessment and discussion on past achievements (non-educational).

Maths & English Requirement

English and Maths is a mandatory part of the 16-19 study programme.
If you have GCSEs in English and Maths at:

  • A* - C or 4-9 - You will continue to study English and Maths but do not have to take another exam.
  • D or 3 - You will need to resit your GCSE English and Maths at college.
  • E, F or G / 1 or 2 - You will study for Functional Skills until you get to Level 1. Then you will take GCSE English and Maths.
