AAT Level 3 – Advanced Diploma in Accounting (Online and On Campus)

Looking to start a career in accounting?

The aim of this qualification is to enhance the skills developed in the introductory level. You’ll master more complex financial processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports and returns and professional ethics.

As a standalone qualification, or as a first step towards the advanced levels, it will allow you to move up to further study in accountancy and finance.

This level will suit you if:

  • You’ve completed the introductory accounting level and would like to build your skills
  • You’re already working in finance and you’d like a formal recognition of your skills
  • You would like to go onto be an AAT full member or study for chartered status

 

AAT Level 3 - Advanced Diploma in Accounting. This qualification is a high-quality training programme designed to help you to become as effective as possible in your career and gain an internationally recognised qualification relating to your work. (There is also an option to complete the shorter qualification AAT Level 3 Certificate in Bookkeeping consisting of 3 units - Indirect Tax, Advanced Bookkeeping, Final Accounts Preparation)

Study Method – Online and On Campus

We have partnered with Mindful Education to deliver this apprenticeship through our Online and On Campus model.

Online lessons can be accessed at any time, using a mobile, tablet or desktop.

On campus, students benefit from face-to-face classes at College with an experienced tutor. (A combination of classroom-based lessons, group exercises and discussion)

In addition to attending weekly face-to-face classes, students will be expected to undertake approx. 6 hours of additional study out of college.

A good standard of literacy and numeracy (ideally grade C or above at GCSE).
Current (or recent) practical experience or an AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate. You may need to attend an interview and undertake a skills assessment. 

 

Upon achieving the qualification, students can  progress onto the Level 4 Professional Diploma and can be used as a route to professional AAT Bookkeeper status (AATQB). The Level 4 Professional Diploma can be used as a route to profesional AAT Accountant status (MAAT).
