Looking to develop the skills to be an Accountant Technician? 

This course will help get you started. The Foundation Award in Accounting Software is a shorter qualification available at Level 2, built up into the Foundation Certificate in Accounting.

The Foundation Certificate level 2 enables you to learn the specialist knowledge of being an Accountant Technician. If you wish to pursue a career in Accounting and Finance, the course is an ideal stepping stone to be a qualified accountant technician and/or accountant.

A good standard of literacy and numeracy (ideally grade C or above at GCSE).
Current (or recent) practical experience and/or AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping (Bookkeeping Transactions and Bookkeeping Controls units).

Upon achieving the qualification, students can complete the remaining mandatory units set at Level 2 to obtain the Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping or the Foundation Certificate in Accounting. Foundation Certificate qualifications set at Level 2 allow progression to the Level 3 Advanced Diploma which can be used as a route to professional AAT Bookkeeper status (AATQB). The Level 4 Professional Diploma can be used as a route to professional AAT Accountant status (MAAT).
