This course will get you started. The qualification is aimed at practicing electricians, as well as other allied professionals, including electrical engineers, contracts managers, designers, consultants, surveyors, and other related trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations.

It may also be suitable for anyone requiring an understanding of BS 7671:2018, although prior knowledge in some basic electrical science will be useful. On completion of the course, you'll be conversant with the format, content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2018 (18th edition).

It is expected that you will be an electrician or working within the building industry and have a requirement to hold a certificate for the BS7671 17th Edition Wiring Regulations. It is expected other parties responsible for electrical design, engineering, maintenance or property may also enrol on this course.

Successful students can apply for a range of additional City & Guilds electrical qualifications subject to holding the appropriate pre-course qualifications. This includes the C&G 2391.
