Walsall College Makes A Stir!
Staff and students at Walsall College have made a real stir, by hosting a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan on Friday 25th September. Kind hearted staff and students donated a range of cakes to create a coffee morning not to be missed!
The event took place at both Wisemore and Green Lane campuses and saw scores of people donating their cash for the amazing display of cakes, pastries, tea and of course, coffee!
Last year, Macmillan’s flagship fundraising event saw over 45,000 people hold a coffee morning to help people living with cancer. Together with friends, families and colleagues, participants raised an incredible £7.5 million in total!
Helen Griffiths, Student Engagement Officer at Walsall College commented, “The Coffee Morning has been a big success, with both staff and students getting involved. The Student Union at Walsall College is always eager to support charity events and raise much needed funds”.
