Tickled Pink!

Walsall College staff and students were tickled pink on Thursday 23 October, as they raised money for Break Through Breast Cancer with a day of pink-based activities.

During the day, Hair & Beauty students made good use of their talents to help the charity by offering pink nail painting and pink make-up, in return for donations.

Walsall College’s Graduate Salon of Hair & Beauty also held a raffle, with fantastic prizes including limited edition pink GHD hair straighteners.

Other activities on the day included cake stalls and wearing pink to raise cash for the charity.

Tracey Hesson, Senior Receptionist in the Graduate Salon said, “Support from students and staff has been fantastic. We have raised approximately £500 so far and the donations are still rolling in!

“Breast Cancer charities are close to the hearts of many people and it is great to see students using the talents they have acquired on their courses to help save lives”.
