Community Open Day!

Walsall College is set to celebrate the unveiling of its brand new £64 million Wisemore Campus with a Community Day on Saturday 18 July, 11am-5pm. All are welcome to attend the event that will offer local people a sneak preview of the state of the art campus before it opens for learning in September and prior to the grand official launch in October.

During the day, Walsall College staff and members of the local community will have the chance to see inside the completed campus for the first time and take a look around the cutting edge facilities that will provide students with an exceptional learning environment. Attendees will also have the opportunity to have a first glimpse of the outstanding facilities that are open to the public throughout the year, including the College salon, gym and restaurant, all providing quality services at fantastic prices.

Fun is set to be the main aim of the day, with available activities including bouncy castles, an assault course, a bucking bronco, a bungee trampoline and a huge climbing wall. Entertainment will be provided by Beacon Radio and the Thunder Crew, with special guest, DJ the Beacon Bear taking to the decks. A range of community organisations will also be on hand throughout the day, providing passers by with a range of information connected to Walsall’s exciting regeneration.

Principal and Chief Executive of Walsall College said, “We are all extremely excited to mark the completion of the build of our new Wisemore Campus with a Community Day. It is an ideal opportunity to welcome Walsall College staff, students and members of the wider community to the new facilities and get them all together for a day of fun and celebration. We hope that the new campus will be at the very heart of Walsall’s community and that we will become known, not just as Walsall College, but Walsall’s College”.

Walsall College’s Community Day will be taking place on Saturday 18 July, 11am – 5pm at the new Wisemore Campus on Littleton Street.
