Walsall College has been officially presented with its latest Investors in People certificate, in a formal ceremony that took place at the Botanical Gardens, Birmingham on Thursday 28th October.

Head of Professional Development, Louise Fall and Head of HR, Steph Everitt were invited to attend a ‘high tea’ event to celebrate Walsall College’s achievement in once again meeting the Investors in People (IiP) standards after an assessment earlier this year.

The ceremony was led by Mike Judge, Chair of the Board for West Midlands, who invited all successful companies and organisations to receive their certificates through an official ceremony.

As the UK’s leading people management standard, Investors in People provides a simple and flexible framework, helping thousands organisations of all sizes and sectors to improve their business performance.

The Investors in People accreditation helps increase the productivity of the UK economy by improving the way in which organisations manage and develop their people, leading to business improvement and better public services.

Louise Fall commented: “The event showcased the purpose and value of IiP and acknowledged the efforts of staff who contributed to this process. It really is a positive and rewarding for an organisation to be recognised in this way – well done Walsall College!”
