Walsall College students marked the start of a new academic year in style on Monday 27th – Wednesday 29th September, with an action packed fresher’s fair.

Called ‘The Big Hello’, the three day event was an opportunity for new students have fun, get to know each other and get involved with college life.

Organised by Walsall College’s Students’ Union, the attractions of the event included a giant trampoline, a giant climbing frame and Galaxy FM, who provided music and entertainment in the atrium of Wisemore Campus.

There were also a range of stands and stalls around the College offering students important information and advice, as well as giving them the chance to sign up to Students’ Union and That Bit Extra activities.

External exhibitors at the fresher’s fair included V Inspired, Walsall NHS, West Midlands Police, Addaction and local banks, to name but a few!

Helen Griffiths , Youth Engagement Officer at Walsall College commented, “The Big Hello fresher’s fair has been extremely successful. It was an ideal opportunity for new students to meet each other and discover what Walsall College and the local area has to offer”.
