Success Celebrated by whg
Eleven tradesmen at Walsall Housing Group (whg) have recently been celebrating after successfully completing NVQ Level 2 in Customer Services qualifications with Walsall College.
The group, whose interest for the course was initially raised after completing an in-house training course about customer service, completed the qualification within six months. All training was delivered by an industry experienced Walsall College Assessor, causing minimal disruption to staff productivity.
The successful team were recently presented with their certificates for the qualification by Chief Executive of whg, Gary Fulford, who held a special celebratory lunch to mark their achievements. Diane Platt, Business Account Manager and Jenny Ball, NVQ Assessor from Walsall College also attended the celebration to congratulate the students on their success.
Pete Aston, Tradesman for whg said: “I really enjoyed the course, the programme was well presented and the Assessor was really flexible in the way she worked with me to ensure I completed the NVQ.”
Jeff Fullwood, Tradesman for whg commented: “I loved the course and the whole experience. The Assessor explained everything really well and made me feel at ease.”
Shane Elliott, fellow Tradesman for whg said: “It was very informative, with a relaxed style of delivery. I feel my customer service skills have improved as a result of this course”.
Jenny Ball, Work Based Trainer Assessor added: “It was a real pleasure to work with the whg team of Tradesmen. They all contributed fully to undertaking the training and assessment. They were keen to obtain the qualification, which built on their existing skills and also provided them with the opportunity to develop their customer service skills further”.
