Students Set for Healthy 2012
Walsall College students are currently kick-starting their way to a healthier 2012 by taking part in a Health Week, 9 13th January.
A range of activities are taking place throughout the week to help make students more aware of health and exercise issues, such as health checks and free passes to Walsall College’s Academy Health Club.
Representatives from local organisations will be on hand during the week to offer their services, advice and support about health and fitness. There will also be a silent disco, a table tennis tournament, a Wii Fit challenge and healthy food stalls.
Helen Griffiths, Learner Experience Officer at Walsall College, said: “Health Week is a great opportunity to encourage students to stick to those New Year resolutions and increase their health and fitness levels in 2012. We would like to thank staff, students and representatives from local organisations for helping to make the event such a big success”.
