Students Put On Their Dancing Shoes for Pudsey!
Walsall College Travel and Tourism students put on their dancing shoes on Wednesday 17th November to perform a four hour holiday club dance in the name of charity.
Eighty students performed the dance in the atrium of Wisemore Campus wearing bright pink travel t-shirts and Pudsey accessories, to help them raise as much money as possible for BBC Children in Need.
Suzie Richards, Travel and Tourism Lecturer said: “The students learnt about the popular holiday club dances during a presentation by Josh Bannister, a Thomson Holiday Rep who had visited the College to give students an insight into his job role. Since that day the students have been practicing and thought a four hour dance would be a fantastic and fun way to raise cash for Children in Need”.
BBC Children in Need has a mission is to make a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. People across the country will be taking part in charitable acts on and around Friday 19th November during national Children In Need Day.
In addition to the dance, Walsall College students and staff also took part in a range of activities, including a pyjama party coffee morning, organised by the College’s Students’ Union and ‘Soak a Footie Fan’, organised by the Foundation Learning Cluster.
