Students Host Charity Pink Day
On Friday 14th October, Walsall College staff and students turned bright pink for Break Through Breast Cancer, in a day of pink-based activities.
Hair and Beauty students used their talents to help the charity, by offering pink nail painting and pink make-up, in return for donations.
The Graduate Academy also held a raffle, with fantastic prizes including limited edition pink GHD Hair Straighteners.
Other activities on the day included GHD curling treatments, cake stalls and wearing pink to raise cash for the charity.
Technician in the Graduate Academy, Samantha Dugmore said: “Support from students and staff has been fantastic. Breast Cancer charities are close to the hearts of many people and it is great to see students using the talents they have acquired on their courses to help save lives”.
