Outstanding Success Rates at Walsall College!
Walsall College has achieved increased success rates this year, making us one of the best colleges in the country for success on level 3 courses.
93% of our 16-18 level 3 students have successfully passed their qualifications, with over half of them achieving distinctions. This is an increase of 5% on last year, where the College’s 88% success rates were in the top 10% across the country.
These results are officially ‘outstanding’ against Ofsted criteria and the College anticipates that with the increased success of our level 3 V6 students, we will be in the top 5% across the country. It is fully expected that the final results will show that Walsall College is one of the best providers of further education in the Black Country.
However, the success does not end with V6 students. Walsall College has seen success on adult courses rise by 9% from last year to 84% and its overall success rates have also seen an increase of 8% to 87%. This year, Walsall College has also been shortlisted for two AoC Beacon Awards and three TES FE Awards for Outstanding Provider, Outstanding E-Learning Team and Outstanding Employer Engagement.
Jat Sharma, Principal and Chief Executive of Walsall College said: “We are delighted with the increased success rates, that are set to put is in the top 5% in the country for 16-18 year old level 3 learners. Not only are students passing their qualifications but they are achieving high grades and going on to undertake top university courses”.
