Walsall College has announced the appointment of a new Principal and Chief Executive, Jatinder Sharma, who will be taking up his new role with immediate effect.

Jatinder has over 15 years experience directly in Further Education. He joined Walsall College in 2004 as the Director of Finance, quickly progressed to the post of Vice Principal – Planning & Resources and had assumed the role of Acting Principal before his appointment.

Jatinder commented: “I am delighted to have been appointed Principal and Chief Executive of Walsall College. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and to working with the governors, staff, students, stakeholders and partners to create a bright and successful future for the College and the borough”.

Brian Lowe, Chair of the Corporation at Walsall College said: “We would like to offer Jatinder our congratulations on his appointment and to wish him every success in his new role. Jat has got a wealth of experience and an exciting vision that will move the College forward as we continue our journey for excellence”.
