College Shares Best Practice With India
Walsall College recently enjoyed a visit from Dr Rashmi Vij, Principal of the Police Dav Public School, Jalandhar Punjab, India.
Dr Rashmi Vij was in England on a UK India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) visit to partner schools across the country. Whilst she was in the area, Dr Vij decided to drop into the College to have a whistle-stop tour of our Wisemore Campus and share best practice with Principal and Chief Executive, Amarjit Basi; Director of Operations, Deb Rajania; Head of Business Development, Bev Ramsell; and Head of International, Manjeet Kumari-Lal.
Dr Rashmi Vij commented: “I run a senior secondary school in India and my interest is seeing where students go after school. I decided to visit Walsall College so I could learn from what you do here and adopt the same model in my country. I really have been struck by how beautiful and state of the art the facilities are here”.
Director of Operations, Deb Rajania said: “It was wonderful Dr Rashmi Vij found time to visit Walsall College during her trip to England. Dr Vij is someone clearly wanting to make a difference to the children within her school and wants the best future for them. We are proud to be associated with the Police Dav Public School and look forward to further exchange of ideas and best practice”.
