Walsall College’s Marketing Department is currently celebrating after winning an award at the prestigious Heist Awards for Education Marketing, held on Thursday 26th May.

The College was awarded Silver in the Best Further Education Prospectus category at the ceremony, hosted at The Queens Hotel in Leeds.

The annual awards, run by education marketing specialists Heist, recognise outstanding examples of marketing campaigns and promotional materials in the HE and FE education sector.

The Heist Awards for Education Marketing have evolved over the last 20 years to become the premier Awards programme for marketing in the sector.

The Walsall College 2010/11 V6 Young Peoples’ Course Guide, which also won a highly commended FE First Award for Best Sixth Form / College Prospectus, was one of twelve colleges across the country to be shortlisted for the category of Best Further Education Prospectus.

Selection was made on the basis of a range of factors including ease of use, quality of creative execution, appropriateness for target audience and innovation, as well as success in meeting its stated objectives, quality of project management and value for money.

Head of Marketing at Walsall College, Sally Day said: “We are delighted to have been presented with a Silver Heist Award for our 2010/11 V6 Young Peoples’ Course Guide, in addition to the FE First Award it received last year. We are committed to producing prospectuses of the highest possible quality that help students choose the right course for them. The Heist Awards celebrate the best of the best within education marketing and it is absolutely fantastic to have our work recognised on a national level”.
