1 Posts delivering a total of 4.5 care hours a week Sense Salary Points: 17-22 Annual Leave entitlement 24 days per annum (pro rata) plus Bank Holidays.

Sense is the leading charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. Birmingham Community Support Services are seeking to appoint 2 Female Intervenors.
The role will be to provide support and development with personal care, bathing, dressing, feeding, physiotherapy exercises and a comprehensive communication programme.

You will be required to work on a flexible rota initially to provide support Mon-Fri â€" 06.30hrs â€" 09.00hrs, Sat â€" 07.00hrs -09.00hrs With a view that there may be an increase in hours to further support the person to access facilities in the community.

Skills and Experience

You will also need a commitment to the belief that deafblind children have the right to learning, self-determination, choice and fulfilment both at home, in learning situations and in the community.

Deafblind people require special methods of communication and special methods for coping with everyday life; therefore we provide all our staff with specialist training.

Experience in working with people with learning difficulties and/or multi sensory impairments is essential.
